I'm loving this video from Martin Lewis which brings up the subject of agreeing with some friends and family not to buy Christmas presents.
It's not anti-Christmas or anti-gifting it just recognises the fact that some at times we end up buying gifts because we feel obliged to do so. Often the gifts we give and receive from our extended family or friendship groups end up tuck away in cupboards as they aren't something we need or don't quite fit with our lifestyles.
It's a big step to take but having the conversation upfront about not buying gifts could actually be a bigger gift for some people - especially when money is tight.
